The tools
the star
The scale is used to collect the coarse salt at the bottom of the eyelet.
Its 5 meter long wooden or carbon handle allows the salt worker to pull the salt as far as possible.
The tip of this tool is a smooth wooden board.
A complicated technique to apply allows the salt worker to bring the handle towards him by making it "fly".
The loose
The lousse is used to collect the fleur de sel on the surface of the carnation.
With a 3 meter long wooden or carbon handle and a perforated board allows it to be used as a colander. The fleur de sel, thick as a sheet of paper, must be picked up delicately.
Wheelbarrow
The wheelbarrow is made of wood and painted blue.
Georges, David's father, was a carpenter and passionately made these wheelbarrows. Now we have inherited his plans and can in turn build them.
The wheelbarrow allows you to transport the coarse salt and thanks to its shelf, position the cases of fleur de sel. The crates in height grossly drip during the ride.
